Amoxicillin is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia; bronchitis; gonorrhea; and infections of the ears, nose, throat, urinary tract and skin.
It is used in combination with other medications to remove H. pylori, the bacteria that causes ulcers. Amoxicillin belongs to a class of antibiotics called "penicillin-like drugs."
It is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by ciprofloxacin-sensitive bacteria located in the respiratory tract, genitourinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, bile ducts, soft tissues and also peritoneal infections, septicemia and gonococcal infection

Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic penicillin, broad spectrum, is bactericidal. It is clinically and pharmacologically related to ampicillin. It is stable in acid so it is suitable for oral consumption.
In comparison to ampicillin its absorption is more rapid and complete. Food does not interfere with its absorption.

INDICATIONS AND USES:
Inflammation of the anterior segment of the eye in patients in whom treatment with corticosteroids is indicated and there is a concomitant infection caused by bacteria sensitive to chloramphenicol or a high risk of suffering such an infection.
