Inflammation of the anterior segment of the eye in patients in whom treatment with corticosteroids is indicated and there is a concomitant infection caused by bacteria sensitive to chloramphenicol or a high risk of suffering such an infection.

A drop, instilled in the conjunctival sac, 3 to 5 times a day for 10 days. In acute cases: up to 1 drop per hour. Use in the elderly: There are no data indicating that it is necessary to modify the dose in the elderly. Use in children: No studies have been conducted in children. Due to the possibility of adverse systemic effects, caution should be exercised when administering the product to infants (28 days to 3 months of age) and to children under 2 years of age (see Special warnings and precautions for use). . With prolonged use, secondary ocular infections may occur or the growth of resistant bacteria may be favored. Corticosteroids can mask, activate or exacerbate an eye infection. Prolonged use of corticosteroids can cause a pathological increase in intraocular pressure.
